This PowerPoint presents the reauthorized law (IDEIA 2004) in terms that we can all understand. (Most of the documents about this law are very complex and detailed). The faculty members of the University of Virginia have thoroughly explained the law in this PowerPoint. Note that they mention Response To Intervention–some say Response to Instruction–early in their presentation. As we all know, RTI has modified the process for referring students for special education.
